About us

The University Alliance Stockholm Trio is a partnership between Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Stockholm University. We strengthen collaboration, promote interdisciplinary research and education, and support joint action regionally, nationally, and internationally.

A world-leading academic environment

The three public universities located in Stockholm - Karolinska Institutet, KTH, and Stockholm University - complement each other in terms of education and research. Subject areas range from medicine, technology, and natural sciences to law, social sciences, and humanities.

Together, we offer one of the strongest academic environments in the world, making it attractive for international collaborations, leading researchers, and international students. The fact that the main campuses are in the vicinity of each other enables cooperation even more. Competence, curiosity and innovation are at the core of our work.
