Seed funding granted to five Stockholm Trio research projects
Five research projects within the university alliance Stockholm Trio have now been awarded seed funding to further develop ideas and collaborations focused on sustainability, consumption, and societal transformation.

Mattias Höjer, KTH, Louise Wallenberg, Stockholm University, Markus Larsson, KTH, Daniel Koch, KTH, Fabian Lenhard, Karolinska Institutet.
The projects have emerged through dialogue between academia and societal stakeholders, through AIMday, a structured meeting format that brings together researchers and external actors to jointly identify key challenges and research needs. During AIMday Sustainable Consumption on December 3, researchers met with employees from the City of Stockholm.
Among the funded projects is a mapping of land suitable for food production in Stockholm, led by Mattias Höjer at KTH. Another project, headed by Louise Wallenberg at Stockholm University, examines the relationship between fashion, consumption and sustainability. Advertising’s influence on the food environment will also be studied in a KTH project led by Markus Larsson.
In addition, Daniel Koch at KTH has received funding for a project on transformation typologies, aimed at increasing understanding of different forms of societal change. The fifth project, led by Fabian Lenhard at Karolinska Institutet, focuses on identifying barriers and success factors for increasing the share of plant-based diets in Stockholm’s schools.
